Machining

Primo can perform many types of machining and finishing work on plastic products. In-line machining in connection with extrusion, for instance, can be used for the application of film, printing of barcodes, bending, etc. Machining of sheets, rods and tubes is used for the manufacture of cog wheels and gears, bearings, bushings and fittings.

Machining can be an advantageous process for the production of prototypes or limited series, when tool development, extrusion or injection moulding might be too expensive.
 
The type of plastic used depends on the requirements for the finished product and its properties. Primo operates modern CNC-controlled equipment for milling and turning a broad range of plastic products.
